The boys will race by den level. Trophies will be awarded for top three racers in each level.

Boats are still available. This is also a recruitment event; boys should talk it up to their friends at school to come that day.

Heidi will bring t-shirts for sale. These can be worn at a number of the summer activities.

Martha will send a press release to the Leader and Current.

Matt Cushing designed the winning patch! More than forty Scouts submitted drawings.

Webelos Resident Camp:

Will be held August 14 - 17 and August 17 - 20 at Camp Hinds.

This is the boys' first look at Boy Scouts, and they don’t bring a parent with them!

They will do activities similar to Funpack, as well as some the Scouts do.

SummerFest 2005:

Will be held Saturday, August 20. Booth setup time is 4:00 PM.

Will register with Community Services for one games booth.

We discussed having a second booth for a Bouncer but decided it would be easier and safer to staff only one with games we know. We would need insurance for a bounce activity.

We will need power for our booth. The cost is $50.

Don will provide a popcorn machine, Brian will provide the popcorn.

Discussed how to break out help. We’ll have families sign up for booth setup, booth operation, and booth teardown.

Sea Dogs Overnight:

Will be held July 30.

Families have received this information from the Council and will sign up individually. A number of Pack 47 families have already signed up. There is a limit for participation!

The cost is $20 per person. The event includes the game, a movie, and sleepover on the field.

Tents are allowed (without stakes).

Webelos Woods Weekend:

Will be held September 23 - 25.

Inclement Weather On Pack Meeting Dates:

If school is cancelled for bad weather, that night’s Pack meeting will also be considered cancelled.

We’ll research having a snow date for the third Tuesday of the month. This will depend upon room availability.

Next Parent Meeting:
The next parent meeting will be August 11 at 6:30 PM at the Maine Veterans Home.
Have a great summer!
